I try not to get involved with theological discussions...because much like politics, you will rarely change the mind of the person you are debating with...its typically a lose /lose situation with nothing but diometricly opposed opinions and angry/hurt opponents!

However whereas this is a thread about "Telegrams and stop"

I find it fasinating that the entire New Testament was "assembled" 300+ years after the death of Christ by a Pagan Roman Emperor (Constantine) at the First Council of Nicea on June 25, 325 AD STOP

I believe that intelligent people can explain their beliefs and opinions without trying to change the minds of others. This results in the phenomenon known as understanding.

However, it is sometimes necessary to point out glaring errors and thus promote the truth.
The Emperor Constantine did call for the council of Nicea in order to promote harmony between the different factions of the young Christian Church. He did not "assemble" the New Testament. The books were already in existence, and it was the Christian leaders that sorted through them and established the canon. This was not done in one day, but was a quite drawn out process.
Next time maybe do a little research. And I'll have the roast duck with mango salsa. That does sound delicious .
