Thanks for clearing that up Siggy.

And I'm also wondering how the discussion about using STOP in telegrams drifted to where it did!

Dwight.

And to a lesser extent (meaning reactive)....me.

I suppose what I mean - and I apologise if I was less than diplomatic or came across as abusive, which I certainly don't intend - is that when Dwight mentioned that fundamentalists are different from "regular" religious folks, that's a degree issue.

That's probably true, though I would offer that it's the "fundamentalists" (as presented by the media that is) who really don't get it. Now I can only speak as a Christian (and a conservative one at that), not being familiar enough with religions such as Islam to comment on their teachings. Those who are (self) presented as fundamentalists, and capture the lion's share of attention mostly due to their support of conservative political agendas, are simply not following the teachings of Jesus. They seem to be focused on setting themselves up as judges of what sins should be the target of legislation while 20% of the population of this country do not have access to adequate health care. While the number of homeless is growing as people who cannot take care of themselves are put on the streets. I'd better stop the litany now, but trust me, it could grow for some time. Looking at the records of these self appointed "evangelists", it's easy to see that they serve money and power. That's what Jesus referred to as "mammon". For those who are familiar with the bible, and if any support those referred to, I would invite you to explain just how a servant of Christ can also serve mammon.
O.K. that's enough of my soap boxing (for now).

So hopefully the playground discussion can be reinterpreted as a bar room discussion; similar but with more beer.
