Because people like you can't handle it. And there's nothing funny about it. By all accounts we shouldn't have a Lounge, if this site is really about motorcycles.
There have even been those who complained that talk in the lounge didn't stick to motorcycles. They didn't like the general banter and joking, or even the personal news happening in members lives. Personally, I don't think this site would be as good or fun as it is now without that. With that chat in the lounge we have a community of online friends who share a common interest, without that we have tech talk and little friendship since you would know little about a members personality and other interests. I think that information is what makes this site and also makes the personal meetings all the better and gives a basis for conversation when we meet face to face.
