I liked this so much, I bought it. Its a blast to ride, very smooth, very fast, and it handles wonderfully. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/296237_2184626689336_1057050252_2480121

Meh... One of my coworkers has the road king version of that Yamaha. I can't tell if it's a slow bike or if he's just a slow rider.

The Deluxe is much more a competitor to the Street Glide, the S is more Road King in looks. As far as ride and power, its much smoother, and MUCH more powerful and faster, a completely different ride. I took both the T Bird and Storm for rides, then this bike, well...., and its a clear choice, especially compared to the dressed T Bird. The feel of the Strat surprised me, the power is immediate and quite substantial(91 hp and 117 torque at the wheel), the handling is very nice, very smooth, and you can ride it all day. Value wise, it killed the HD, and even the T Birds. A winner in multiple ways, fun to ride being the best.
Now, when I ride the Speedmaster, it offers a completely different experience, and that is quite cool too.

If it makes you happy, its your thing do what you wanna do
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

Its not a slow bike, a recent comparo article had the HD Street Glide at 0 to 60 in a bit over 5.8 seconds, the Stratoliner Deluxe 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds.
From my experience, it really gets up and moves.
Its a riders bike, it has lots of room, comes all decked out, and if you shop well, you can get a hell of a deal on a brand new one (no miles). Try and get this much bike for under $13K.

Thanks for posting the pic John, I think my photo came from a secure sight, so it wouldnt work. I dont play with posting pics much, so I'm not too privy on what to do to change that.

Nice looking bike HH. It is 1700 cc isn't it? Seems to me a better comparison than a Harley would be a Victory Cross Country or Cross Roads.

Thanks. 1900 cc.
It was in a magazine comparison with the Street Glide and one of the Victory bikes. The HD came in first, pretty much because the Strat didnt have cruise control(I think that was it, but I added a Brake Away Products cruise unit for $200, and have a lot more money in may pocket than a I would with a HD).

The 2012 Strat Deluxe is coming with a Garmin 665 as standard equipment, wow!
But, with the buy price I got, I am way way ahead, I can buy one and still be $4000 under retail.
