I am not sure if anyone here watches Two Wheel Tuesday. I use to watch it all the time when it came on at a normal time and was an hour long. I liked very much that Greg White covered all kinds and types of motorcycles and motorcycling. So anyway, I know it will go absolutley nowhere, but I sent the following email to Greg White.
Quote:

Greg,

This has been bothering me very much for a while. What the heck is Speed TV thinking? Why would they do such a thing to the best motorcycle show ever. I want things the way that they use to be!!

In the old days, your show was an hour long, full of all kinds of information and news about motorcycles and motorcycling. It was absolutely awesome. You covered all types of motorcycles, all types of motorcycling, plus presenting laws and news that could affect our lives as motorcyclists. Every Tuesday, I would be able to get home from work, grab something to eat real quick, turn on the TV and catch Two Wheel Tuesday for the next hour, become more informed and a better person because of it.

Then, along came that silly joke of a show Texas Hardtails and the painful to watch Build or Bust. I have all kinds of respect for Rick Fairless and Russell Mitchell as bike builders, but those shows are just pure entertainment and not informative at all. Instead of doing the right thing and putting these shows on late night TV, Speed TV cut the time for Two Wheel Tuesday in half. Fortunately, you do awesome with that half hour although there is so much going on in the motorcycle world, everything does seem to be rushed.

Since they cancelled Texas Hardtails, I though that maybe Speed TV would do the right thing and restore Two Wheel Tuesday to it's original hour long show. But, no, of course they didn't. Instead they made things even worse. They moved your show to 5:00 pm Pacific time. A time that makes it almost impossible for anyone to watch. Then after re-playing the AMA Supercross Race from the week before (that I usually have already watched if it is raining out and can't ride), and replaying the same episode of Build or Bust that they had on an hour before, then Two Wheel Tuesday comes on again at 10:00 PM. Again this is a time that makes it difficult to catch. If that isn't insulting enough, the show is still only a half hour long. What is the deal with them replaying the same shows over and over just to fill time when they could be using it productively.

Yes, I am frustrated and disappointed with Speed TV. I want Two Wheel Tuesday to be an hour long. I want Two Wheel Tuesday to come on at a decent time like 7:00 or 8:00 PM Pacific time!!

Soren,

While I TOTALLY AGREE with your opinions here, I'll bet if you get ANY reply at all from Mr. White, it's be something along the lines of the following.....

Dear Soren,
Thank you so much for your input here. We're always happy to receive helpful suggestions from our valued audience.

However, seeing as how the Public has made it very clear to us through the lack of Nielson Rating numbers for ANY program who's objective is to INFORM, and NOT just ENTERTAIN, I'm sorry to inform you that we're going to IGNORE your request here.

I mean WE have to put food on the table TOO, you know Sir.

I have the same feelings about 2 wheel tuesday. What burns my backside even more is what they replaced it with. A wanna be Tuddles in really bad "sitcom" format and called Hardtails (going off memory here, it has been known to fail me more and more)

Interesting, I personally hate the show. I cannot stand to watch incessantly long interviews (talking heads). I like the race footage (road racing) and then right back to the talking heads. It seems to be totally involved in racing, not much if any street riding info. As for Texas Hardtails the show was totally unwatchable I'm glad it is gone. Build or Bust is frustrating to watch and I usually dump out of it.

if life gives you lemons keep them because hey, free lemons.

I heard they were going to cancel it completely. I'm not a fan of MX racing so I can take it or leave it.

I think the real problem is NASCAR.
Speed tv should change their name to Nascar tv.
7 days a week of left turns is a bit much.
two wheel tuesday, could we get one day with out nascar , no!
the mid to late evening circle jerk bumps the two wheel goodness
to the later hours of the night.
I would like to watch all the shows but I get up at 4:30 to go
to work, so I am in bed a bit early.
put the nascrap on at 10 and start two wheel tuesday at 6 or 7

I liked two wheel tuesday too. Its about the only motorbike show they had on worth watching. I will have to admit though, I do sometime watch a bit of american thunder, just for ms. smith.

Weather is getting nicer, so untill it is rice enough forthe evening rides I say you boycot speed tv by going out and cleaning, tuning up and gettign you bike ready ot ride.. Then once it is nice enough for the evening ride, contune to boycot speed tv by going out for a ride. We can make our own 2 wheel tues day... Only it will be real as in we go out and ride.. Make it a national holiday. Every Tuesday every bike owner goes out at 8pm and rides till 9pm, this must be video taped so we can produce a 3 hours show to air on Sundays when the rednecks I mena nascar racing shows are on.. I will do a weekley first aid as well as paint and body work spot.. Next we need someone to go out with a camera crew and ride new bikes and give reports,, I will take this dury as well. I will require a sallary tho. Figure 100K a year is fair.. Next we will need a tech section.. Pat? you listening? then we need a new products section,, hum someone can do that,, give em money buy new stuff and tell us if it works, and finaly we will need to do a weekley human intrest piece.. Somehting like stripers strugling through college only to be enjoy shaking em more..Will call it booty or books..

Well guys what do you think?
Yall chew on it, I am going to look at my new toy

Dont like what you see??? Big red X in the top right of your screen will fix it!

That is one of the problems with it being only a half hour show. When it was an hour long, they covered all kinds and types of motorycling and motorcycles.

you know, that really isnt that far fetched. there are enough of us in this group that we could feasibly form a corp. with stock,(everyone gets a number of shares to their investments) and get the advertisers and buy time for a show on one of them channels. ??? all of us could be involved, every few weeks it could be another location, show caseing mechanics and tips and a flavor from spots from all around the world. the best rideing the world has to offer, bike events, some race talk, and of course vintage bikes of all types (leaning heavy away from V-twins and the h.d. stuff that is already out there) with their history and little things they created that were inovative for the times. hum....not so far fetched at all.

ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

Liked the show, but not a fan of the host. Preferred the hour long version and Ride On. Texas Hardtails bit the big one and American Thunder, I can take or leave. Let's face it guys, it's a four wheeled world.
