all commercials are dumb, I go into some sort of trance when they come on where I can be watching them but not seeing or hearing anything about what they are selling, totally zone them out

A skinny couple riding a scooter, and managing to get around 90mpg. And Shell is talking about developing more efficient fuel so we can get more from our resources? Dumb.

What it they modified that commercial to show the guy sitting a gas pump and have it sub-titled "5 dollar, you ride me long time" would it still be dumb or boring?

Yeah, that's what Shell wants. McDonalds is trying to get people to eat fewer hamburgers, too. Coca-Cola wants you to drink fewer soft drinks, as well.

Sorry guys, it just drives me nuts when people don't use protection - eye protection that is, and that just sticks out to me every time I see this commercial. Today leaving Denny's for breakfast, a guy and his girl hopped on a sport bike - he was all geared up, she was wearing sandals, lowriderjeans, and a tank top- no helmet or glasses. Now I'm not a safety nazi, but some things are just dumb. You all can go back to mocking me now, it's ok, I'm a big boy.

I'm jeans and T shirt with no helmet kinda guy but I 100% agree about eye protection. Any small seemingly harmless debris can cause serious damage at highway speeds.

I took a bug big enough for me to see it coming right on the upper part of my right cheek just below the eye. Dang near knocked me off the bike. Not only did it make me a believer in good eye protection it also made me a believer in a 3/4 helmet with a shield.

What I really hate is on a commercial or newscast when people end.
A sentence prematurely because they are getting ahead of the teleprompter and paying absolutely no attention to what they are saying.
This is happening more and more lately, even the president does it a lot. People are starting to do it in regular conversation because they are beginning to think it is the proper thing to do.

I think it just goes to show how much the big corporations care about individuals when they blatantly let this guy ride in their add without goggles or a visor on his helmet .

Brother in law peeled the Poster Boy for Face Protection off a lamp post after he crashed his bike. He is a fire fighter in Fredericton (which is down east) his crew was first on the screen. None of the witnesses could explain why he all of a sudden veered off the road. It was not until they got him to the hospital they found a hummingbird lodged in his throat.

The paramedic (brother in law) that found the Poster Boy traded in his metric V twin for a Harley Firefighters version and guess what kind of helmut he switched to from a full face? I bought him some dental floss for his birthday lots of bugs in New Brunswick.

I know of a couple emergency room doctors that I see fairly often who don't wear a helmet.
I learned all I need to know about life by killing smart people and eating their brains.

Things are pretty sanitized by the time they get to the ER as compared to what a paramedic experiences. I've worked both.
