I never use the glue. For removing the stock grips I just use some dish soap. I lift up the rubber with a platic probe usually home made from a bondo spreader or some thing like that. last time I used plastic chop sticks. Just wedge it in squirt in some soapy water and they shoot off. I get the replacements nice and warm and slide them on the dry clean bar if the replacements are rubber.
