I have a 1985 AMC Eagle(love it).I've been having starting issues with it lately and I'm thinking starter but I've been second guessing myself.I have'nt tinkered with cars for a while now.When you go to crank it it will crank for a few seconds and then the starter will "free spin".
Eventually it will catch and start the car.Could it be the solenoid? I don't want to change both if I don't have to.Money's a little tight right now.Thanks for your input.Charlie.
