Ok anyone have any knowledge of this place? I'm meeting a friend in Atlanta on Friday the 9th and she booked a cabana here for Saturday with zip line tickets. Should be a cool place to try out the gopro, now I just have to figure out where I'm gonna put the camera.

Pine Mountain is the home of Callaway Gardens and the town of Pine Mountain is sorta quaint , you're surrounded by pretty much nothing , no traffic , no chain stores , just pine trees and log trucks and hoot owls . Been there many times . It's more like a long ridge of hills , but they like to call 'em mountains .
Take Ga. 190 toward Manchester , then left (North) on US 27 and go to Warm springs , there's a cool leather shop there and 190 is a cool shady twisty road that runs along the top of the ridge .

There's plenty more , but it's sorta boring . I grew up in the general area .

It is a beautiful area, but be aware that Callaway Gardens, last I knew, was a no motorcycle area. Be good to check before you arrived.

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

Thanks , Thom , yeah , I forgot - they no allow bikes in the Gardens proper , the old stoics HATE motorcycles , mainly ' cause of bad experiences with those big 'ole lumbering ........you know .

I drove my motorcycle onto the property about 6 months ago for a conference but not into the gardens. It was also my Tiger and not the BA.

Lynn and I stayed there several nights a couple of years ago on the way to the GA Rally.

190 rides atop the ridges. (such as they are) Warm Springs East of Pine Mtn, has a place called Little Sturgis. Midway between PM and WS you can check out the Little White House where Lucy Mercer and Franklin Roosevelt used to get rather frisky.

Pretty cool museum in Warm Springs. Art in Motion
