I fought this issue for a year and a half. Tried everything. In the end, I ended up switching back to the stock air box (which made it run super rich from the K&N kit that was on there before with the 155 mains). I noticed the bike still cut out when I rmoved the snorkel an only at highway speeds and when the wind hit from a certain direction.

Later, I tried completely rejetting, building new intakes with velocity stacks in the filters, cussing a lot, changing the fuel filter (again), and a few other "fixes" after dynoing the bike and finding it running quite lean.

Turns out, the problem is the vent tube from the bottom of the fuel tank. There is a little, black valve on the bottom of it. I took the valve off and it fixed the issue to a degree. I have't got the balls, yet, to cut the tube down.

What I did was moved the tube end, without the valve, to a place under the seat where I can grab it while I ride. If the wind is effecting it, I grab the tube and smash the end through to the other side of the bike. Problem solved.

You can look through my other threads and see if you experienced some of my problems. I'm willing to bet it's the vent tube.
