i kinda think every newby shoud start in the dirt, it is where you can really learn about riding. so in that line of thinking maybe a dualsport should be the way to go. a little time on the road a little time off the road and as the person gets more confident and knowledgeble then they can decide which form of riding they prefer and if it is road they will be better prepared. just thinking, i mean most of us with a few yrs behind us probably started out at some very young age with a stripped down 50-125cc yamahonzuki of some kind that we beat the crap out of and then sold to the next kid in the hood that could come up with the $50 we paid for it and then we went on to something else and eventually ended up here. it just makes sense to me and i would bet that the better riders you know today started out that way and probably never stopped riding. even the ones that stopped for several yrs due to life and have now returned to riding, probably passed the riding course with better grades then those who didnt. would love to check that stat

ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!
