All, being one of those lovers of salt I thought I'd share a couple of the results from the SCTA (Southern California Timing Association) Speed Week @ Bonneville Salt Flats this year. There were a couple of older (& perhaps somewhat modified) old Bonnie 750cc that made the run this year. Foremost among them were these two FAST machines.....

Run Date:8/17, Entry# 1712B, owner/rider: Tyler/Malinky Class: 750CC, prev. record = 108.732 mph,
New record =117.108 mph, Triumph pre-unit Lowbrow HT

Run Date:8/18, Entry# 732B, owner/rider: Lackey/ Sperry
Class: 750CC, prev record = 158.161 mph
New Record = 158.462, Triumph Bonneville

158.5 mph is really movin! My speedo only goes to 120!

Real good runs for old Triumphs for sure. I tried to post the pic of the first bike but it didn't take (user error propably LOL). I knew there was a reason I have prefered Triumph motocycles over the years.
