i have found that the coolest thing about being a grandparent is that, the kids love you no matter what uncondistionaly. when you are a parent your kids have times when they hate you, they stomp off cussing under their breath about how mean you are or sometimes mom might say wait till your father gets home and when he does they run and hide. but as a grandpa they alway come running when i pull in the drive or when they come here its seems that they cant get out of the car fast enough, arms stretched wide yelling GRANDPA!!! I LOVE THAT!!!! so being a grandparent makes raising your kids seem worth the bumpy road traveled to get there.
when my son handed me my first grandbaby, i remember thinking "ohhh i get it now"
