Ok, so I have bill gatelys brother Steve doing my big bore kit. I am very impressed so far, these guys are triumph alchemists. With the the addition of the air box removal, big bore kit, and bigger front sprocket, I also needed a preformance clutch kit, in that the the new torque output slips the standard clutch at around 4.5 rpm in 4th gear!! Oh yeah, daddy like!
Say, I was wondering if you'd had any other mods..i.e.exhaust/air, and or carb rejetting. I've got the 904 and stage 1 cam, (D&D kit), with SS long cannons and Uni air filter w/bellmouth, have been playing with jets for best performance and can't quite get what I'm after. Torque is good, but can't find ponies. I also have a procom igniter that I'm thinking of setting up once I get the fuels delivery thing together. maybe airbox removal? Dyno shop? any input would be appreciated. thanks
ok, the mods:
wiseco big bore kit (904) from bonnieville preformance jet and pins came with the kit air box front spocket change out for the...18 tooth? 19 tooth? can't remember, one tooth up from stock sceptre pipes bonnie pro racing clutch and springs (mind you this is my only beef with the set up is that it is a total pita to hit nuteral right now, i have been told this will loosen up over time (which the original clutch did, so i assume it will)
to semi quote FJ, it runs like a raped ape, with a scalded cat on its back.
HOWEVER, if even after all that the bike does not have enough bang for you (don't see how because mine truely intimidated me a tad and i have been riding since i was 8) you can get HSR Mikuni Flat back Carburetors his (gately's) son has ONLY the carbs on his t100 race bike and thing is NUTZ.
