I just installed the LED replacement kit for the instrument lights? (okay - well, it's three bulbs). Holy crap, what a difference! Best 25 (or so) I've ever spent!
...you're gonna feel a little pressure....

yep - fasteddy. It was a VERY simple change to do. (threw on a chrome brake fluid cover and chrome union jack battery box cover while I was at it. Eventually fiona will be a blinding ball of chrome....then I will curse myself every time I clean her)

the reason *I* did it, is I am going to relocate the turn-signals down to the lower triple tree, and I thought these bulbs would help me recognize when the signals were on, and turn them off. they definitely help me see that - orders of magnitude brighter.

I moved my turn signals down to the lower triple tree and I can actually see the bulbs better. The angle is better and I can see the top part of the bulb.

hmm....I haven't moved them yet. that'd be a double-bonus. I feel like that is one of the major causes of accidents is mistaken understanding of the rider's intent. so, I try to be really careful about it.

Yep, very true, Jim. I also have only caught sight of my turn signals flashing by only happening to catch it as I peer down at my blinkers which are also down there around my lower yoke, and which I would've never seen if they were still up on the handlebars.

And also a very good point, Hasso. And that's why I've gotten into the habit of hitting the turn signal cancel button as I'm coming up to an intersection, and just in case I might've forgotten to do that after the last time I used them.

Would you say it made your lites some brighter or a ton brighter????????????? that is a pet peeve in dash lights on triumphs , is piss poor lighting with out standing up and looking down directly to see if the neutral  [in particular] is on.My shadow has much better lighting than this bonneville america  .

I have pretty much the same console on another bike. Mega brighter. The cheap bulbs and lack of a self cancelling switch is just wrong in the 21st century.
I think we all would have gladly paid the extra 10 bucks it would have cost Triumph in production to make it right the first time.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Super bright LED and self cancelling signals are a safety issue. They should have done it. The thing is they can't calculate how many walked on buying one because of it. Heck, you walked on no fins on the T-brd hippie

WAY brighter. Rode all day today. SO much better. Glancing to see neutral. Glancing to see if signals are on. Rather than peering for long seconds.

The light will startle you after dark, the first couple of times you shift through neutral. My first time was a, "WTF was that?" "Oh yeah..."

I believe that's why the Newbonneville kit doesn't supply a high beam indicator bulb. Can you imagine the distraction and irritation riding on a rural two lane blacktop after dark?
