I tried to drop the bowls without pulling the carbs, but stripped a few screws. Like moe said, real easy to strip 'em. Replacing them with the allen heads is a good move. Pulling the carbs is not too bad and it gets easier each time you do it. Pat (Dinqua) has excellent step by step illustrations on his site.
