I'm about to put new pipes on my bike - according to the jetting calculator, I should go with main jets of 130. Also, according to the rejetting calculator, I should have main jets of 124 for the TORs that are on my bike (I'm guessing it was never rejetted from 120).

So - my question - assuming that I'm still at 120 - and putting on pipes that the caluculator says should be rejetted to 130 - how quickly do I have to get that done? what happens in the meantime to the bike? Anything bad or irrevocable?

I'm still just learning about all this, so, I appreciate the patience with what may seem like simple questions.

It will lean out and kill your top end. Possibly. Not sure how bad it has to get before you can damage your engine.

I def plan to rejet - but am trying to decide if I shouldn't ride it at all in the meantime.

If you are running 120 s now and you need to go up to a 130 for the new pipes. I wouldn't ride it at all my self. The jets are easy to change, and they are not very expensive. You risk burning a valve is the main problem. That's not a job you want to do.

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. Edgar Allan Poe
