I hope I have a blown fuse since my accessory accessory fog lamps quit qorking after I washed my 2009 America. My handy Owners Handbook says to "ease the ignition switch finisher outwards from the bottom" to get to the fuses.
Mine seems unwilling to co-operate. Is there a secret to pulling that cover off w/o destroying it??

It has a rubber grommet on the bottom just like the side cover on the other side. The top of the cover has a slot in it that goes over a hook.

You'll have to remove the cobin saddle, before you can swing the cover high enough to unhook it.
oem saddle? nevermind.

Well, it helps if you reach your index finger around behind where the grommet is supposed to be, and put out while pulling from the front. I am used to grommets having a cushier rubber around them and having some wiggle room from the front.
The bad news is my fuses appeared fine.

There is a relay under the tank, on the right side of the backbone. You could check that the connctors are clean and that the relay is properly seated. If that doesn't help then some multi-meter work would probably be needed.

+1
And the wires in the left side light bucket are prone to shorting out against the bucket. Inspect those along with the switch connections. Then if that doesn't solve the problem pull the tank and look at the relay.
