I agree totally with the responsibility should be more on the parents. My wife works in the Transportation Dept at a very large school district of St Louis County and they had parents calling them on the first day of school trying to register their kids and demanding someone come pick them up. This is after numerous school meetings and scheduling calls to the parents months ahead of time. If the parents can't follow simple instructions how do you expect the kids to do any different?
