When our kids were in school, I had them read and do the lessons in the books my grandmother taught from (back in the one room schoolhouse days). Those books not only taught the lesson, but applied it to the agrarian society that kids of that day could relate to. I hate to admit it, but those lessons were even harder than the ones I had when I was in HS - almost 40 years ago.
