Well Dwight, I subscribe to the Socratic and Platonic method of definitions. In short you arrive at the true meaning only after exhausting all of the exceptions. So anti intellectualism and willful ignorance is one and the same. Now I agree with you more than you think on the matter, because ignorance and willful ignorance are different. This nation in its youth was quite ignorant but many did rise above this ignorance by choice and by hard work, and that's not an attitude of anti intellectualism. Now days we have willful and woeful ignorance.
