Ya know Chad, there IS a big difference between "ignorance" and "anti-intellectualism".
Ya see, THIS is ONE of the things that IS wrong with the mindset of many of the people in this country...the "idea" that life is an "Either/OR Proposition".
It seems as if almost EVERYTHING now is discussed in terms of ABSOLUTES! There's NO "middle ground" anymore. And if ANYTHING, this "Dumbing Down of America", or to put it another way, this apparent continual slide to an even MORE "Anti-intellectual" American society is exemplified by THIS phenomenon ESPECIALLY.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
