Thanks Ian. I used a hand-held sabre saw to first make the cut close to where I wanted it(don't forget to apply masking tape on both sides of the fender before you start cuttin'), and then I used my bench grinder to get to the exact line I had drawn on the tape, and to smooth out the cut.
