Well, as you can see here Ian, I've cut down my front fender in order to kind of match my bobbed rear fender...



However, as you can also probably see here, my front fender already sits pretty close to the tire, and that's just with the stock bracket holding it on. And so, I'm kind of questioning your idea to bring your front fender even closer to the tire.

But, if you do decide to go ahead and try that anyway, I can't see why just "oblonging" the holes a little higher in the stock bracket and thus lowering it bit that way wouldn't be an option for ya.
