Brand spanking new tires + brief rainstorm + new ashpalt on highway on-ramp (with a little too much throttle) = experience I won't soon forget!
I didn't lay Elvira down but it was in serious jeopardy of happening for what seemed like a long time. That was way too damn close!

Yozsa, glad you pull her out. I hit a newly paved section on a friends bike today. Not fun.

I've been there, same situation, except the forks hit the stop and my foot wasn't gracefully sliding, it slammed down and helped get the bike straight again. Mine happened in a freshly paved parking lot with a sprinkler system in the median.
Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Reminds me of the time, right after my bike was freshly painted, that I hit a wet grease slick in the parking lot behind Applebees. Can't believe I didn't drop it. I think I willed it to stay upright.

It wasn't graceful and I will admit that my hamstring and ankle from slamming down and sliding have been sore all day today.
