Probably because the original Morgan Three-Wheelers of the 1930s had a British-built J.A. Prestwich V-Twin engine powering them, and so they probably wanted to keep as close to that configuration as they could, Woody. And because the Brits don't make a "modern" V-Twin, they probably decided to go the the S&S engine instead.
