Washington, Oregon, Idaho, but I'm working on it. Just give me time... If we didn't have to work it'd be a lot more.

Dang Shaun,

I thought you had hit all 48 contiguous states. What is it with New England?
"Connecticut
Maine
Massachusetts
New Hampshire
New Jersey
Ohio"
Seems that was a dead zone for ya. I can understand why neither of us rode in Rhode Island: Too small and not worth the traffic headache to get there!

Nevertheless, what you accomplished back in 2004 is something very few folks have done. Quite amazing really!

I think I know why here, moe. Shawn told me in Poland the unfortunate reason his U.S. ride was abbreviated and why he didn't hit those other states you mentioned.

I'm sure he'll pipe in and explain it.

(...but let's just say somebody "borrowed" his bike somewhere along the line...but I can't remember quite where exactly that was now)

There is only one state and that's Texas. I been all the way from Chicago north Texas to Houston in south Texas. I never made it to the east or west side yet.

I've ridden in a few dozen so far. I'm going to try to make all 57.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Well then Larry, we'll be anxiously awaiting your thread in the "Rides and Rally" forum after your sojourn to and back from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania!

Nah, Stephen and I rode in some of the way to the SWTF with the Good ole Southern crew. I just admire Shari alot. She's one of the gutsiest and skilled bikers I've had the priveledge of knowing since I've been a member here.

Yeah, that would be too bad.

It just occurred to me that the three states that are the most dissimilar all think their S doesn't stink: New York, California and Texas. The rest of us just kinda get along for the most part.

I probably shouldn't have gone there, but whatever. If nothing else it will flush out those lacking a sense of humor. I've pissed off so many people this week what's a few more.

Joke 'em if they can't take a forking. The thing about Texas is we feel like that song, Clowns to the left of me Jokers to the right. Here I am stuck in the middle with you. As in the rest of fly over America.

By the way Pes you can't get rid of me that easy.

Actually that wasn't entirely the reason - I had planned to do the NE part of the US in 2003, but due to a delay in starting the trip, I didn't have time to fit it all in before I had to go to the sourthern hemisphere. I could maybe have detoured up there in 2004 but found in 2003 that things start to get quiet ( and colder ) after Labor Day.

Actually its Pigeon Forge that we don't mention, not Gatlinburg. (It still písses me off seven years later!!)

Thanassis

In this instance I count states and countries as the same thing - after all, most US states are the same size, or bigger than a lot of countries.

So go on, put us all to shame and list the countries you have ridden in.

And another thing, when are you going to start on your US trip??

Ya know, after readin' this thread, I'm almost embarrassed to admit that the ONLY U.S. states I've ever ridden a motorcycle in, not counting the European countries of:

Greece
Italy
Austria
The Czech Republic
Germany
Poland
Sweden
Norway
Denmark
Hungry
Serbia
Tijuana...oh, I mean Macedonia (GAWD I hope Thanassis sees this...he'll love it!)

...is, the "God's Country" of...OOPS! I mean the "Promised Lands" of("God's Country" IS of course, Texas! ):

California
Arizona
Hawaii
New Jersey

(...okay, so maybe that last one there isn't one of "The Promised Lands" per se, BUT central New Jersey DOES have some mighty fine countryside to ride around on, believe it or not!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
