It is a good attitude to be able to be amused by it. The greatest part about running out of gas is the running part. They never run out in the garage. It means you are riding.

Now my trip odometer is set and I get gas between 100 and 130 miles without fail. If not I promise I would forget again.

I start running out of fuel at 100 miles and that is when I normally have to switch to reserve or look for fuel. I will pay a little closer attention to which way the lever is pointing from now on!
