I've got better places to be. Sadly, what took place here recently has no constructive purpose. Frig... since the early days of spiritual connectivity with the likes of Timothy Leary and company we understood this. Ego crushes human spirit. Personally, I'll take simplistic wonder over intellectual bantering and posturing.

As an after note, I've come to meet and know a bunch of you. My address and phone number remain unchanged and if you want to contact me again, it would be my pleasure. But life is HUGELY greater than the game of "who's more cleaver than who" around this here lounge.

Well Keith, "Sadly", I disagree with you here....sorry.

You see, I believe there WAS some "constructive purpose" in that now "infamous" thread. And please allow me to tell you want it was.

I learned a few things while reading that thread. One in particular was when I read Martin's story about being an ex-pat Brit and his take on the differences between his life here in the States and in England, though I failed to acknowledge his post.

And, there where a few other little item of interest in that thread which I found a little enlightening.

Sure, there was some hostility express in it too, but I thought that that didn't overwhelm the entire thread's substance.

But hey, if you found it a complete waste of your time, then so be it. BUT, I really think that taking the idea that most people around here are not worth your time and energy to be around anymore because of that thread, or this thread, or even a few other threads which you might have found distasteful or "had no constructive purpose", is, well, almost a slap in the face...especially after all these years when I've read a few of your posts which I felt had "no constructive purpose", though admittedly few if any were ever "hostile" in nature.

And so, before you depart(because that post up there sure sounds like your "Swan Song" to me anyway), I'd like to say that it sure seems to me as though you're throwin' out the baby with the bath water here, ol' buddy.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
