well I own a 09 really love mine I don't know of any trouble
with them every now and then some with any older one Ignition switch failure or some have had a pop out of first gear trouble..

for the Ignition switch failure get the EB relay kit installed .you can do the your self.. all info of at the rocket forum...but be careful as I have found there are a lot of cry babys on motorcycle forums
another words if there bike is running good there out riding
if something is broke there at home on puter crying about how bad there bike is because there not out there riding
