hi I have a question for any of you electrician types out there.
I have swapped my original indicators (turn flashers) for a set of small custom ones.
my problem is they dont work with the standard flasher relay.
I understand there is a difference in the wattage of the bulbs, original 25w, custom 5w.
I have tried swapping the relay with a bunch of other ones, some flash fast, some not at all.
what I want to ask is can I fit a resistor or something in the wire leading to the flasher bulb to fool the relay into thinking that I am using the correct wattage bulb.
this may sound a bit long winded but this situation has been driving me nuts for quite a while and I am tired of randomly trying different relays with no long term fix.
thanks steve.

I'll bet a relay specifically designed to run LEDs would solve your problem. Not that you're running LEDs but it will be designed to flash with a much lower load.

OldRoadie is right. Just go to http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/s...%2Fflashers.htm and order the CF13GL-02. That will do the trick for sure, no other resistors or anything needed.

You may have to remove your indicator bulb from the dash.. The way Triumph wire them can cause issues when fitting LED indicators... Try removing the bulb then testing....

look at this page from Sandman. It explains it all. You will need adapt the wiring for the 'IDIOT' light on the dash
its pretty easy
