My wife and I tried the Spyder cruising version at Thunder Beach in Panama City, FL last May. I didn't like the riding position which was very upright with limited leg room. My wife felt our America (with the 07 pillion seat and tall backrest) was more comfortable.
Have you done the 904 kit ? I did plus an additional 3.5 degree rake on front and it is ( IMO) the perfect platform for touring now.....I haven't "bagged it out" as of yet but with a good stylish set and a highway shield.... I think it is comparable to my friends HD Heritage..... there is always the BEAST know as the RIII tourer too if one wants to stay in the Triumph stable...
