Yep Mike, and before they did THAT, those board members did EVERYTHING they could to step on or otherwise interfere with many of the imaginative ideas and designs of the guy whose name was on those bikes too.
But hey, as most any of those "insular" Harley riders out there will tell ya, "Hey, it was Harley's money, and so they could do whatever the hell they wanted to do with it!", OR the ever-popular, "Eeh! Well, we didn't want any o' them there "Crotch-Rockety" kinda things anyway!"
(...YEP, one sure can't or at least SHOULDN'T ever put the phrase "New Ideas" and the name "Harley-Davidson" and/or many, if not MOST of their customers mindset, in the same sentence, alright!!!)
