So I thought yesterday's ride home from work was like riding into a forced air heater. Well today is even hotter. What are your thoughts on our oil/air cooled machines? I don't have a oil temp gauge, but I know it gets up there. It's HOT!!!

Now that I think on it. Dang! There of lots of you guys close. I should have stopped for a beer. Spent from April-June Lees Summit, Overland Park, Olathe, KC. Then went to Joplin and back through St. Louis for a few weeks.
Its hotter there than in San Antonio now. That is strange.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Well I have been MIA or a dismal lurker here lately.
Dave, Can't reply back on facebook right now, but I've got a wedding that Saturday so I can't make the ride. Let me know your plans for Friday. I might at least be able to break away for a meet up and some twisties.
Leaving the plant now, wish me luck. Hope I don't melt.

I rode in that kind of heat last year on the way to Fl. and I know what you mean by it being like a torpedo heater is pointed in your face. Wendy almost passed out from the heat when she was on her bike on the way home. She saw black with points of light and pulled over and threw up along the road. Could have been much much worse!

Well, 108 beats me here. But at 103 I ride everyday. Just hate them stop lights.

yep 108 to 110 in ft worth today. bike has been sitting in garage. If I do ride its early in the morning and its done by noon or 1. or ill go out late evening (8 to 9 ish) and risk hitting a deer. so that just means ,,, im not riding much.when it averages 98 ill go no problem.

Was 113 yesterday and today should be a record day with highs 115-117 degrees....too damn hot to ride.

Well Donny, as I road past the Roland bank last night after work (about 6:45pm) and noticed the 113 degrees on the sign, my Dads words rang in my ears..."son, when are you going to buy a car"

Well, I rode home last night no problems. Got a little worried at a few stoplights, but all for nothing. It almost felt like it got hotter the faster I went?!?!? Rode in this morning like I never abused her. Of course now I'm seeing rain coming across Kansas so if I didn't have bad luck...

I've ridden 6 or 7 hours in 115 degree heat at 75+ MPH. The bike did just fine, the temp gauge down on the engine was just a little bit above where it is when it's 70 degrees outside. I, on the other hand, felt like I was inside a convection oven. 
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Eeh! You don't go out there to California, Paul! Word is it really sucks out there.  (...especially Carmel and Monterey...ugly...REEEEAL ugly place, ya know!...in fact, I know some people who'd like to see it all fall into the Pacific Ocean real soon!...THAT'S how ugly it is!!!)

Oh, btw folks, I REALLY hate to rub this in yet AGAIN...but...it's supposed to top out once again up here in beautiful mile-high Prescott AZ today at about a balmy 92f with a relative humidity of about 20%...which it's pretty much what it's been this last month.
(...and so before I head to my usual Wednesday afternoon tennis at 3pm today, I think I might just jump on my BA and take a nice little ride along some of these mountain roads around here)

Ya know, I'm startin' to think I better delete my above post about how nice it is in Prescott Arizona. 5:30 PM here in the Rock, and it's 111 degrees out. This is the hottest I've ever seen it here, and the climate change deniers can kiss my ---.

We got to 115 in some places here on Oklahoma,Death Valley was 117 yesterday.Looks like another weekend of this crap as well.....

Aaron,
I drove up to the KC and Omaha areas to get to cooler weather!!! Was 111 when I left Bentonville but was 83 most of the day in Iowa/Nebraska and only 105 in Shawnee Mission!
