Shari, East Side Access will be connecting the Sunnyside LIRR yard in Queens across 63rd street then down into Grand Central Station. Which my company is bidding. Bid was supposed to be February, but keeps getting postponed. Again, was supposed to be this week, but postponed again.
7 Line extenstion will, of course, extend the 7 Line west across Manhattan to 10th Ave. It'll cut roughly across 30th or 31st Streets, which will definately hit Penn Station. This job comes up for bid in a few months.
Then the 2nd Ave Line, also scheduled to bid this year, will be a new subway line servicing the East Side. The first phase will be from 105th st. to 63rd st. After that, 3 more phases over the next several years to complete it from the Southern tip of Manhattan up to 125th street.
