Once I got the Triumph boards on I never thought about going back to pegs. Still, it helps to have shorter legs because the boards do raise your foot position. I like being able to shift around on a longer ride so my knees don't feel like they're locking up. I've scraped them a few times but that's not an issue since I'm not really a "boy racer" anymore, although my brain likes to think I am :-)
