Wendell , congrats on your impending retirement from the AF. I did not spend 20 I left after two hitches. I enlisted and went to lackland in late August of 73 and left in Dec 1980. Worked C-130, and O2-A at the end. At that time they still had a few reciprocating aircraft left in the inventory....I think the O2 was the last. I was at Little Rock AF base first and then trips overseas TDY to Germany...downrange trips to Spain and Italy. Then I got stationed in Japan for Two years before hitting Davis Monthan and the O2A'S. I worked in the Propeller shop. although they combined the propeller and engine specialties into one towards the tail end of my last hitch.
