So I couldn't help myself, I had to ask, what all needed done at 15K? He said the was $3500 worth of work, new seat, new tires, NEW ENGINE MOUNT????
Thats why I don't ride them anymore- to be honest engine mounts should last about 40k...but some don't..... One of the guys in my club has one running 55k miles but thats an exception. Mine blew 3 gearboxes in 25 k miles(1450 2003 Wide glide)....on the credit side it was pretty easy to service myself.....but there are big design faults to live with-especially the chain driven twin cams which spit the tensioner blade backing into the oil pump...HD keep saying its sorted, but I'm not taking any more chances with their promises..... Which again is why I now ride a TBA.
