I used Amsoil Motorcycle 20w50 change before last. This time I tried Motul 300V 4T 15w50. Thus far, I have over 100 miles on this oil. I bought it from corseracing.com.

Compared to the Amsoil, I noticed the shifts seem smoother and the clutch engagement is even moreso. I'm thinking it will be the oil I use on a regular basis and will probably use their products for brake fluid and for my vehicles.

I like Royal Purple, but it's too expensive. I like Redline, but they don't make oil that is JASO MA certified (that I could find). I also like Mobil 1, but I like the idea of using a true full synthetic; Redline, Amsoil, and Motul are some of the very few that are still ture sythetics.

Mobil 1 uses Group III stock, even in their sythetics. Royal Purple uses a blend of Group III, IV, V.

The best bang for your buck is the Rotella T6 Synthetic. It is made for large diesel engines and is even labeled JASO MA on the back. It only comes in 5w40.

I have considered using it in winter if the budget gets tight ($22/gal). KS has sub-zero winters and we've been consistently around 100 the last few weeks in summer.

The Motul was $50 with free shipping.
