(...so who says Dwight is never helpful around here, HUH?!...oh, and btw, it's suppose to only top out at about 89 up here in the beautiful mountains of mile-high Prescott Arizona...with, I might add, only about 28% humidity!...ah, how I love Summer!)
It's getting into the upper 80s with high humidity in Asheville and WE JUST AREN'T USED TO IT. Used to be summer days topped out at 80 with mild to moderate humidity. The last few summers we've gotten a lot more humidity and a little more heat. On the upside Mount Mitchell is only a short ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway and it never gets above about 72 there. Dwight, I might be heading your way next winter. We'll (me + wife) be driving my truck but we might bring along our new toys and do some exploring. We picked up a couple KLR 650s this week.
Let us know when ya pick the dates for that and Judie and I will be happy to hook up with you and your wife, Chet!
However, you do realize that during the winter, Prescott does get the occasional blanketing of snow, but that usually just lasts a few days and is back up to around a sunny 50-55 within a few days after that.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
