I took the day off today as my Mrs is off every Thursday
The thinking was a bit of a ride for lunch before heading to the tattoo shop in the afternoon. Well we woke up to more snow....again.....
The roads into Edinburgh are now at a total standstill 15 miles tailbacks
ITS ONLY A LITTLE SNOW!!!!!
enough to spoil our first ride of the year

Just the threat of snow around here is enough to get the council to cover the roads in salt!
We had a nice bit of rain a couple of days ago that cleared most of the visible salt away, only for the buggers to put more down!

Philadelphia was the worst...any snow and people would literally pull their cars over and get out and walk.
In central PA, nothing shy of a foot really caused any uproar.
Here in NYC, the snow doesn't stop anyone from driving, and doesn't slow them down either...it's insane how many accidents occur in NYC because noone knows how to drive in the snow...stupid cabbies...

Guess I was the lucky one (for once) This past friday we experienced temps above 70 degrees F. Put about 200 miles on her that day. Then an overcast and occasional rain on the weekend and another beautiful day on monday. Put another 200 miles on her. Very uncharacteristic for this time of year, but took full advantage. Hmmm? Maybe those global warming guys might be on to something.

You should move here mate. It only snows up in the mountains where civilized people seldom go. Of course, about 40% of the idiots around town feel it is inevitable that they will crash if it rains, so they drive like bloody nutters so they can get it over with.

Snow! Salt on the roads! I have not seen snow since the last time I visited the Grand Canyon a few years back. I grew up in Rapid City , South Dakota and over the years I had forgotten all about the white cold stuff. we watch with disinterested vague amusement when a major storm hits the Eastern seaboard or hits the midwest part of the US.
Indeed living in southern Arizona for 25 or more years will make you a hard core banana belt wimp.

I went thru Flagsaff AZ last Sat. Was snowing about 6 in. on side of road, roadway was packed (slick) 2 Harley riders were going East bound (slowley w/feet down for runners on sholder of road) I felt kinda sorry for them, but they were the ones that put the bikes in gear and headed into a snowstorm
