I wouldn't say exactly the same. The Indian boys had a facility up and running putting out bikes for a few years, with Dreer it sounded more like a shop. What also struck me as ominous (I remember commenting on that at the time) was when Dreer started asking for deposits up front. These would have soon been converted into ... donations, as it later is evident.
