Sleep number bed?

I used to sleep in a rolled up newspaper on the side of the road.

And I still would before I'd spend 3K on a bed! Can ya still get cornstalks from farmers?

+1 on those comments. Wow – I’ve watched this thread grow over the past several days and my take-away is there are a disproportionally large number of kitty-boys out there. After leaving home nearly 3 years ago and settling in what my friends referred to as; The ‘Chal-Ack’ (Half chalet and half shack), I slept on the floor atop a chunk of foam rubber, a few blankets and a worn pillow, which I often recall and refer to as ‘my rag bed’ – Not at all unlike that of a common house pet, but without one of those cute baskets. I did this for a year and a half, during which time the back pain left, the aches subsided, and that annoying click in my knees completely disappeared. Having shed the guilt and shame that brought me to that level of existence, I’ve since risen above all that having first acquiring a bed and then a townhouse (Actually, I now question the importance of leaving that ‘simple’ unobstructed life). In short, I suppose what I’m saying is the best sleep I’ve had in my adult life was the most primitive. Not sure if the cause was sleeping on the floor or the unencumbered lifestyle – but, jumping down on the floor would be a cheap and easy stab a good rest without finding a shack to live in. Just sayin’…
