Yup I got it my brand new shinny Torque today

Took about 10 seconds to read it. My local Rat pack same ten lines as the magazine last year. Nothing on the America or the speedmaster couple of pictures of them. Lots of Rocket stuff. And to think I WAITED A YEAR FOR THIS RAG
We did get what we payed for.

So subscribe to another rag. The things free for Pete's sake. If we were still paying for it you might have a beef.

Tru Dat, Shake. It may be worthless to some, but its like a warm blanket on a cold, rideless night to me. Any rag with a cycle is better than none at all. I anxiously await its arrival.

Still haven't got mine since I signed up in December and renewed in January. I did see the winter 2005 issue at my local dealer. If that's a good example, I'm not missing much. I wouldn't throw it straight in the garbage if they sent it to me, but I'm not going to sweat it if I don't get it.

Good one Shakey!

Got mine today and read it tonight. I thought there were a couple of fairly good articles (for instance, the blokes riding America on Rockets and the writeup on Engle Motors, Inc. in Kansas City, MO) and some good info about RAT rides (if you are into them).

For a free mag, I didn't find much to fault.

The operative word here is free.

I think Triumph keeps forgetting to send me my issue of Torque. I got one since I joined RAT over a year ago.

I finallt got my first free issue yesterday as well.
Actually, I was pleasently surprised at the contents. Even some pix of some of us guys in there. I liked the acrylic painting of the yellow Speedmaster too. The interview with John Bloor was nice too.
I actually have nothing to complain about, and it's free!

Oh yeah, what about the sixty8 accessories line for the bonneville. those are so ill-conceived they may bring down the whole triumph enterprise.

The items they showed included a plexiglass chain cover, a plexiglass tank badge replacement (like a 2x10 in plexiglass strip mounted on standoffs with the triumph logo in script) and my personal favourite - a body-colour leatherette bag that covers the headlight!

oh, no thanks, i'll pass.

FYI I've sent in a pic or two from the NE rally from last year. Not sure if it is this issue or the last one, but we're in there guys. Check under Gold Coast motorsports, New Hyde PArk NY.

I haven't gotten mine yet. Did get some bills and a Lego catalog in the mail yesterday. Maybe today I'll get my Torque magazine.

Got mine last night, didn't get a chance to read it all but the wife found a picture of me. The Nov.05 ride of the IndyRatRacers. I'm the guy in the back with the hat. The Torgue is pretty good mag, I like to read through the different Rat packs to see where they ride. Not bad for free, that's the key word!

Can anybody explain to me why I'm getting one??? Does Triumph send it to you automaticly after you purchase a bike??? I don't recall signing up for it (maybe because of my mis-spent college years)

Really great hand-crafted leatherette headlight covers and plexiglass bits - I can't wait.

Ryan7771: Everyone that was a member, even if they had only been a Rat member for 2 months, had to re-register in Dec 05. You have to go to the Triumph web site and re-register and then they give you a new number. This info should still be on the Home page of the TriumphRat,net.
Radiator see above post:
Robba05: Your dealer probably put you in for it and the membership. You might want to log into the Triumph home page to see what your number is.
I became a Rat member in Nov and Had to re-register in Dec., I taped the new number over the old number on my card.

Got mine today. Always comes a day or two after I hear about it here. The section about all the rides is interesting. No Americas featured, but the inside cover Bonnie with the sixty8 accessories looks really cool.

Well, the cost was right! Sort of a glossy sales brochure for Triumph, but there was a lot of RAT pack news, including the June Ride coming up for Pete's Rat in Baltimore. Guess we know now to take some more pictures of our events for submission.
The retro clothing forthcoming does sound interesting as well.

Flipped thru it as soon as I got home and found it. Was a bit disappointed when, after glossing over the 'movie' pages. saw nothing of Steve McQueen. Would have thought that would have been a primo ad for the old marque.

Mine did not come today, maybe it will soon. I always enjoyed getting it, if for no other reason, it is put out by Triumph. I had a devil of a time regeristing on the site a few months ago. As I had been on there in the past, they had my e-mail address and kept asking for the password, which I had forgotten. Finally got past that though. More of the same weather forecast here for the next week, 40's for the high. TR

Not yet, I'm at work, but I will definetly check when I get home. I bet my good bud, ole JC, would have a cow if he notices this.
Cool.

Ok, I had Jane look it up, yes indeed, page 26, NorEast Rally picture!

Benny,
You have confirmed something from my earlier question.... we get different copies of Torque. that is interesting cos when we think we are "famous" it is only in house so to speak. Our page 26 is local uk packs and we get the UK/International edition.
Maybe Triumph could make a bigger mag with more worldwide packs so we can see some faces from further afield.
Cheers, Mike

How different are they. Same articles w/ different RAT news - or - completely different?

The poney express rider finally arrived with my copy. Much better reading than hogtales, but I wish they'd revive the old times writeups they used to have.
