My wife and I are off to Las Vegas in September this year. Is it better to book shows on line or wait until we get there and pay at the door? Any suggestions from USA members would be appreciated. Thanks. Kent

No problem Stevie! You can keep me company in the cargo hold. Chanelle reckons only one of us can afford to go in the actual plane. Found out that they do not have .5 of a star hotels either so may be street kids for a few days. I see Rod Stewart is one of the shows-Hell! I thought he would have moved in with Hugh Heffner and retired by now!

They might retire one day, but not from young women. Big money and fame ensure a never ending supply of bimbo's.

Well Kent, I always book pretty late but then there is an advantage to living here. I don't remember the last time I paid for a show You can sometimes get better prices last minute as they want to fill the theaters, but for the really popular shows you may do better on line. But wait until you get here because if you plan to gamble a bit you may be able to finagle a few comps. Billpvegas will probably check here too, he works in the industry so may have a little better insight. Or you can PM him.

With the price of real estate in LV maybe you guys should buy a place. Might be cheaper

In my opinion,,,,,,wife and I went to Vegas for our 24th this past February....we booked the shows at the time we put our package together....went to Donnie & Marie at the Flamingo and a MUST SEE is Beatles Love at the Mirage....also a tour of Boulder Dam ( Hoover Dam) is very interesting.....Also if you have time do Freemont Street....the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop (from the T.V.show) is within walking distance of Freemont St.......rent a bike (motorcycle of course) or a sports car and drive up to Mt Charleston (call this the ice portion of your fire & ice trip) there is alot to do there and we had to not try to do too much in our short 3-day trip....... the Clark County Museum is also very interesting......take your time...pre plan/book your big shows to assure tickets a good seating.....have fun,,, you can even re-new your wedding vows with Elvis as the officiator !!

OH.....and since we drive on the correct side ( right side )of the road,,,,,,,be careful if you drive yourself....we honeymooned in Barbados with some exciting times as I had a hard time reminding myself to drive on the wrong side of the road there,,,,but we averted several exciting possibilities.....but the ditches were easy to get out of..

It's Arlen Ness. I've heard they were going to take it, but don't know if it's happened yet.

I don't know. It's on the other side of town from me so I haven't been over there for a while. It seems that as of May it wasn't done yet. Nothing on their web site about Triumph. Arlen Ness

A short translation may be required here:
XXXX is the local brand of beer here in Queensland and a stubbie is a small short neck beer bottle. The deposit is the money you would get when returning the empty.

I like Las Vegas for what it is near. Mt. Charleston is great. Right at the edge of the city is Red Rock Canyon National Monument. Valley of Fire isn't far. If you have the time Zion National Park (maybe, for me, the most beautiful place in the world) is about 3 hours away. The Grand Canyon isn't far. You can take a loop to Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon and back to Las Vegas. Those places are a lot more impressive than Las Vegas.

Hey Jeff, how ya been. Yeah Red Rock is cool but the fuzz are watching it a bit closer these days. We have some other cool rides too that we could have done if we'd had more time.
And yeah Kent, let me know when you're here.

I stopped in there in April and they told me they'd be a Triumph dealer sometime in June. Wasn't that last month?

i can confirm from speaking with them today that they are not selling triumph and don't intend to. they were considering this spring but they backed away. the only time since '05 we didn't have a dealer/authorized garage for more than a month was the last time i got hit and needed my bike towed somewhere to be fixed. it's all about timing.

depends on the show. if you're looking for one of the cirque shows, book online. they are rarely available at the discount place "tix4tonight". most of the other shows can be found on the day of. i asked my girlfriend who used to manage there for a couple years. she's at caesar's now so no hook-ups anymore. sorry!
