There's more than one reason for those pipes. First off, I think they're cool.
Sound, look, lightweight...
And I
know they help keep me safe.
Every ride, I see cagers start to cut me off, then swerve back in line.
With the stock mufflers, they just cut me off, didn't seem to
know I was there.
Also, the throttle works both ways, if I'm light on it, it's not disturbing.
I live half a mile from the Sheriff's office, have had the bike for 5 years,
they would have nailed me long ago if it was that bad.
Dwight, you wouldn't have to worry about listening to it for very long.
You see, it gets quieter and quieter as I pull away.
