The town of Bat Cave (next to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, etc., in other words primo motorcycling) is considering banning motorcycles because of loud pipes. I can see their point. It is in a gorge and a loud anything can be heard for miles. The problem is, it won't just be the loud bikes they ban. All of us will be penalized. You can't bypass Bat Cave, either, without bypassing the whole area.
If you've ever seen 'Last of the Mohicans' it was all filmed in that area.
