I finally got around to having a key made. My local lock shop gave an unbelievable amount of attention to detail, but for 10.50$, cut an Ilco X52 blank into shape. I have a 2009 America, and the Ilco X52 is the real deal. Your local hardware store key cutter may not do as well, but am sure would be cheaper FWIW.
+1
Had a Ilco X52 (SAA1) cut for about $10 last summer. I went in this spring to get my blank from NewSpeedmaster cut and he came out to the bike and tried a number of other keys and found one that fit better. Unfortunately I forgot which one.
