I should have said at the outset that the pipes that I want to work on are the stock long tapered mufflers and they are off an '07 America. I am presently running long TORs. But I have my original, never used pipes that I thought I would toy with to see if I could get some rumble out of the old girl. I think for now I'd like to preserve the tapered ends, I can always cut them off later if I wish.
