I'm on the Tropic of Cancer, but I am celebrating anyway!
Too bad I don't have canadian beer on hand!
At least it's just out of the freezer!

Thanks!

Happy Canada D'Eh.... as they call it around here....

Canada D'Eh... that's a good one! Looks like it's gonna be a good day weatherwise so I'm off to the annual Toad Rock motorcycle rally (sadly, this will be the last year).

(...and no, don't get used to me usin' that superfluous-u...I only ever do that once a year on this date and in your honor up there!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Just got in from celebrating Canada's birthday up at the Last official Toad Rock Motorcycle Rally. It was a blast as usual, but moreover it was magical! I'll get some pics up soon on some of the makings of the day! Meanwhile I'm heading back home just after dark, and while entering Nelson across the orange bridge I'm trying to figure out why so many people are afoot on the bridge, especially on one side in particular. Then I realized they're all there in anticipation of nearby fireworks about to begin in celebration of Canada Day. So I swung into a spot not too far away and caught the show myself. Yup, it was a good day to be North of the 49th!

The orange bridge I spoke of and adjacent park where the fireworks took place...

Good day for us too. Temps in the 30C zone by the afternoon. Morning started out with temps around 14C. Put close to 600kms on the bike. 15 bikes left just after 8:00am and didn't get home until 8:00 pm that evening. From Timmins we headed west on Hwy 101, then south on Hwy144 toward Sudbury. Turned East on Hwy560 which is a sideroad with a lot of twisties. Stopped for late lunch at a place called Elk Lake. From there 4 of us went east to New Liskard for the Biker's Reunion for a few hours. Then North on Highway 11 to Temagami for dinner. Then northwest for 1.5 hours to Timmins. Finally have another Triumph cruiser in the neighbourhood, a Tbird. I must say that the two Triumphs set the tone for the group of Harleys, Victorys, Hondas and a Kawasaki IMHO. GREAT CANADA DAY RIDE! .

Thanks Keith. Make sure you post those pics for us. Looking forward to seeing more of BC.

BTW, I think Frank would appreciate them also. Driving a Harley now might restrict his view of the countryside....you know what I mean!
